Description
This double-jointed 3-ring snaffle is made of high-quality stainless steel combined with flexible plastic. It is therefore stable and at the same time particularly soft and horse-friendly. The plastic has a hardness of 90A and is FDA-compliant. The material is thus free from solvents and plasticisers and also non-toxic. The bits can be used for all horses and are particularly suitable for young horses, horses with a sensitive mouth and horses that find other materials hard to accept. The bit has a normal action on the mouth and is suitable for horses that are hard in the mouth. The mouthpiece is 18 mm thick and the centre bit rings have a diameter of 70 mm. ?
This 3-ring snaffle is fitted with an additional ring at the top and bottom. When the cheekpieces are attached to the uppermost rings and the reins to the middle or lower rings, leverage is created. The further down the reins are attached, the greater the leverage. The middle and lower rings can be connected with a pelham strap.?
With a double-jointed bit the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The stronger the centre piece, the more pressure is exerted on the tongue. ?
